A clean gravel bar is the ideal spot for a KD rig, which shines over hard, tidy bottoms and gives an aggressive hook angle for solid hookholds. It presents a wafter or balanced bait beautifully and holds up well even at range on those distant bars.

A knotless knot tied so the hair exits partway down the shank, giving an aggressive hook angle.

How to tie it
- Tie the hair loop and thread the hook.
- Make two whips down the shank, then bring the hair out and make five more whips over it.
- Pass the tag through the eye from the front, so the hair sits at the two-turn point.
- Loop to the swivel. No kicker needed.
