These marker leads from Avid Carp have grooves cut into the body, which pass more feedback up through the rod tip than a plain lead would. The stem is solid rather than a buoyant boom, so readings are more accurate when you are fishing over weed. The swivel sits on the stem away from the lead, so the float can still rise if it is covered in weed or debris.
Small fins and a streamlined body keep the lead flying straight on the cast. Each pack holds one 3oz and one 4oz lead, giving you two weights for marking up swims at different distances. They suit carp anglers who want to find features and check the lakebed, including in weedy water.
