The Avid VTX+ is a single bite alarm with a roller wheel that senses line movement in both directions. It has eight sensitivity levels, and Avid says it is designed to cut out false bleeps. Volume, tone and sensitivity are set with three dials, and soft-touch buttons control power and the LED settings.
It is built for anglers who want a straightforward alarm that works with the VTX+ EPS receiver at up to 250m. The case is rated IPX6 and runs on two AAA batteries. A clip-on hardcase and a screwdriver are included. Presentation sets and receivers are sold separately.
