The Avid Carp VTX is a bite alarm range that follows on from the VTX+ series at a lower price. It uses a bi-directional roller wheel with eight sensitivity levels to pick up runs and drop-backs, and the settings can be adjusted with the side controls and dials. Each alarm has twin LEDs in four colours, an optional night light and a piezo speaker.
It is available as a single alarm, a 2 rod set or a 3 rod set. The sets include a receiver, which works up to 150 metres away, and a weather-sealed casing and a theft alert are built in. It suits carp anglers who want a feature-rich alarm without paying premium prices.
