These snag ears are made for Avid VTX+ bite alarms. They fit onto a replacement backplate with a weather-sealed USB-C connector, which takes the place of the alarm's original backplate. The ears draw power from the alarm, so they need no batteries of their own.
Two internal LEDs follow the alarm's own lighting, with three brightness settings, a choice of colours, forward and backward motion indication and a nightlight mode. The ears unscrew for transport and can be used singly or as a pair. Supplied bungs screw in when the ears are off. They suit anglers already using VTX+ alarms; they will not work with any other model.
