Fox Edges Captive Back Weights

These are captive back leads from Fox. Each weight is attached to a length of cord, so it stays with your set-up and can be used again. A gate in the clip opens when the line moves forward, which lets the line go when you get a bite or are playing a fish. There is enough resistance when you slide the line in to keep the gate closed.

They are normally fished directly under the rod tip to keep the line clear of swans and geese. On a tight cord from the bank stick they sit off the bottom, away from weed, debris and snags. On a long cord they fish like a normal back lead. You can also use a standard back lead further down the line. Available in 35g, 56g and 85g.
