Fox Edges Pellet Pegs are small plugs for fitting a hair stop to trout and halibut pellet hookbaits. Once the pellet has been drilled with a 1.5mm nut/pellet drill, the peg is pushed into the hole to give the hair a firm anchor point. Its shape is meant to hold even after the pellet starts to soften in the water.
The peg fills the drilled hole, so water is kept out of the centre of the pellet and the hookbait stays hard for longer. It also stops small fish from pecking the hair stop free of the loop. The pegs are coloured to match trout and halibut pellets and can be used across the end of a pellet or crossways through the middle. They suit anglers who fish pellet hookbaits on the hair.
