The Fox Edges Wide Gape Long Shank is a carp hook that pairs a lengthened, slightly curved shank with a wide gape and a beaked point. The shank is designed to help the hook turn quickly once it is inside the carp's mouth, while the wide gape leaves the point free to take hold.
It suits anglers using Ronnie or Spinner rigs, as well as standard bottom bait and pop-up presentations. The beaked point also makes it a sensible choice for fishing bottom baits over hard gravel. It is made from XC81 Vanadium forged steel with a dark, non-reflective coating, and comes in sizes 4, 5, 6 and 7.
