The Fox EOS 5000 is a fixed-spool reel aimed at specialist anglers who fish for a range of species. It has five stainless steel ball bearings and a balanced rotor profile, and it runs at a 5:1 gear ratio.
It weighs 350g and holds 150m of 0.30mm line. Fox also make a larger EOS 7000, which has more cranking power for bigger, harder-fighting fish. The 5000 is the smaller of the two and suits anglers who want a lighter reel.
