The Fox Large X Spomb is a bait delivery device that opens on impact with the water and releases its load straight away. This version has a more weight-forward shape than the original Large Spomb, and foam in the body means it floats once opened, so no separate Spomb float is needed.
It suits anglers who want to put a lot of bait out quickly at range. Fox recommends a dedicated Spomb or spod rod (4lb to 5lb test curve), a 15lb to 45lb tapered leader, a heavy shockleader and a finger stall. Unloaded it weighs 60g, and about 180g when filled with corn.
