The Korda Basix Wide Gape is a general-purpose carp hook that can be tied straight from the packet. It suits bottom baits, pop-ups and wafters, and the in-turned eye turns the hook over in the mouth without extra kickers or shrink tube. The pattern follows Korda's original Wide Gape shape.
It is made from Korda's 'X' gauge wire, so it is strong enough for fishing in the UK or abroad, and it has a black nickel finish. The point is made to last and may take more than one fish, but check it for sharpness on every cast and change the hook if it has dulled. Each packet holds ten hooks, in sizes 2, 4, 6 and 8, barbed or barbless.
