The Korda Cog Kit is a lead system that attaches the hook link at the heaviest part of the lead, the centre of gravity. The aim is to give the hooking strength of an inline lead while still casting like a lead clip setup, with the safety benefits that come with it.
It is made for use with tubing or leadcore, and suits stiffer hook links such as IQ, Hybrid Stiff and N-Trap Semi Stiff. It works best over firm lake beds like gravel, sand and firm silt rather than weed, and is a good choice for margin work and for placing from a boat. Choose the boom and lead shape to match the weight you fish.
