The Korda Distance Casting Swivel Lead is built for one job: getting your rig out a long way. The weight is concentrated towards the nose, which keeps the lead stable in flight and compact, so it hooks efficiently on the take.
The design came from Alan Partridge, a long-range casting specialist, and has not changed since. Danny Fairbrass rates it as his favourite lead for fishing at range in open water, where he builds up a baited area with all three rods placed close together. Available in eight sizes from 1.5oz to 5oz.
