About this product
- 13ft length, 4lb test curve
- Fast-tapered mandrel running from butt to tip
- Tip-led action for quick line pick-up and casting power
- Action almost identical to the matching Platinum model
- Built from a more affordable grade of carbon than the Kaizen Platinum
The Kaizen Green is Korda's lower-priced rod range, sitting below the Kaizen Platinum. This 13ft 4lb model shares the Platinum's action and is built on a similar fast-tapered mandrel, but uses a more affordable grade of carbon.
The taper runs from butt to tip, giving a tip-led action that helps power transfer when casting and picks line up quickly. The tip still has enough give to absorb a fish's lunges at close range. Compared with the Platinum, it passes on slightly less power in the cast, recovers a little more slowly and is slightly more prone to blank twist, which can marginally affect accuracy. It suits anglers who want a capable carp rod without paying for the top model.
