The Kaizen Platinum 12ft 4lb is a stiff, powerful carp rod built for long-range casting. It gives anglers the distance of a heavy-duty rod without moving up to a longer 13ft blank, and some will find it easier to cast well than a longer rod. It is not a broomstick, as it keeps some playing action for fighting fish.
The recommended casting weight is 3-5oz. Darrell Peck uses this model for most of his fishing and casts 4 or 4.5oz leads over 140 yards with it. It suits anglers who fish short to medium-long range and want a firm, tip-actioned rod for distance.
