Korda Kama Kote is a compound that you apply to the hook point. It forms a barrier between the water and the steel. Sharpened hooks can corrode once they are submerged and lose their edge, and this is meant to help prevent that.
It suits anglers who sharpen their own hooks. It is also worth using on Korda Kamakura hooks. Their smooth, almost polished finish makes them less prone to corrosion underwater, but a light coat of Kama Kote still helps. Unlike ordinary Vaseline, it has no smell.
