The Korda Probe Marker Lead is a lead made for one job: finding out what is on the lake bed. Korda first supplied it in their Marker kit, and after anglers asked for it on its own, it is now sold separately.
The lead has no coating. Korda says bare lead carries more of the feel of the bottom back up the rod than a standard lead does, so it helps you tell weed, silt, clay and gravel apart. That suits anglers who want to know what they are fishing over before choosing a spot, or who want to avoid certain areas. It comes in 3oz and 4oz.
