Korda Shot on the Hook is a small, reusable tungsten weight that sits on the hook point of a wafter, bottom bait or snowman rig. It adds weight at the point to help the hook take hold when a carp picks up the bait. A small rubber moulding grips the point to keep the shot in place.
It comes in 0.30g, 0.40g and 0.50g, with ten shot in a slide-top storage box. Danny Fairbrass suggests 0.3g for hook sizes 8 to 4 with baits up to 14mm, 0.4g for 16-18mm baits on sizes 6 to 2, and 0.5g for larger hooks with 20mm and 24mm baits. To remove it, slide it off a barbless hook, or crush the barb first on a barbed hook.
