Korda Square Pear Swivel Leads

The Square Pear is a short, compact lead with four flat sides and a gently tapered back. The shape is meant to keep the lead's weight concentrated, so a carp that picks up the bait feels the full weight after moving only a small distance. The taper at the rear helps stop the hook link wrapping around the lead.

This is the swivel version, designed as the second generation of the shape after the first proved too square and sometimes stood on its end. It suits anglers fishing over hard gravel who want a lead that casts close to a standard pear but gives better hooking potential. For maximum distance, a swivel lead will outcast an inline. It comes in ten weights from 1.1oz to 8oz.
