The Korda Wide Gape is a spade end hook modelled on the Maruta Kinryu pattern. The point is turned in very slightly, so it takes hold quickly while still giving a secure hook hold. The eye is turned in at 15 degrees, which helps the hook flip over fast.
It has a beaked point, a micro barb, fine gauge wire and a medium shank, finished in a low-visibility Teflon coating. Each pack holds 10 hooks, and there are five sizes from 10 up to 2. A sensible choice for carp anglers who tie their own rigs and want a wide gape pattern.
