Pastel Barrel Wafters from Mainline are barrel-shaped hookbaits with a slow-sinking, balanced presentation. Thread one onto your hair rig and the weight of the hook settles it into a balanced position, so there is little extra fuss at the rig-tying stage.
The colours are deliberately pale and washed out, which suits wary carp on pressured waters. The baits still contain liquid flavours, enhancers and sweeteners. They come in 10mm and 14mm sizes in 150ml tubs, with five flavours to choose from. Check your rig before fishing and add a counterbalance if your hook weight differs from the guide.
