About this product
- Two-stage rod security: cam lock plus a secondary locking lever
- Lever clips over the closed cams to hold the butt in place
- Lifting the rod to strike opens the cam arms
- Grips at any angle the rod butt is placed
- Small fits 12-17mm butts, such as abbreviated or shrink-covered
- Large fits 19-22mm butts, such as cork or Duplon
The Nash Xtreme Butt Lock Rear Rest is a rod rest head that holds the butt of the rod in a pair of cam arms, then adds a second lock on top. Once the butt is seated in the closed cams, the locking lever sits over them and clips into place. The rod stays held until you lift it to strike a take, which opens the cam arms.
It is built for anglers fishing close to snags or expecting powerful fish, where a rod must not be pulled out of the rest. The grip holds whatever angle the butt sits at, so it can be used with bottle rigs or tip-up setups to keep line away from obstacles. Choose the Small or Large size to match your rod butt diameter.
